The first band in my name, that's a milestone. Not claiming any originality beyond what is apparent in every being in nature, we PLAY music in a way that makes me very excited. Check out this track. Kjetil Jerve - piano Julian Haugland - bass Tore Flatjord - drums |

Akmee is a Norwegian collaborative quartet formed in 2013 by drummer Andreas Wildhagen and pianist Kjetil Jerve. With only a handful of concerts in Norway, Denmark and Germany, the band has been a ghost on the scene. Until now, it has been a group dedicated to practice and exploration. All of the musicians bring original music to the band - accurate, written out material, but with the intention to allow all parts to float between the different instruments. It is very much a collective sound where all players are equally important in shaping the music, letting it drift and stretch beyond control.

The trio is made up of the talented pianist Kjetil Jerve from Ålesund, who recently released his debut album “New York Improvisations” with the well-known saxophonist Jimmy Halperin among others; British star bassist Tim Thornton who plays with Eric Alexander and Jason Rebello; and Swedish drummer Anders Thorén who plays in projects with master saxophonist Seamus Blake and the grammy-winning Swedish pianist Lars Jansson.
Their successful debut album “Circumstances” has been very positively reviewed in Norway and is now getting international attention, being featured as an editors pick in the January 2018 edition of DownBeat magazine. Anders Thorén - drums Tim Thornton - bass Kjetil Jerve - piano |

Orter Eparg is a postmodern piano trio playing music about catapults, guitar players, couch surfing and minimalist composers. Orter Eparg is a broken watch, a malfunctioning machine, a rusty, out of control piece of farm equipment. Blindingly surrealist and melodically powerful, the band recounts the most unlikely, abstract stories. The music is based on bass player Dan Peter Sundland's unique compositions, whose cross rhythms and layer based constructions encourages a solid, sound conscious interplay in different intersections between groove and free improvisation. With the instrumentation drums, piano and trombone, Lana trio is unique in Norwegian measures and rare everywhere else. The trio plays intuitive and uncompromising improvisations, resulting in music ranging from everything to almost nothing. Since their reformation in 2012, Lana Trio have played extensively throughout Europe and further afield, including two tours of Japan last year. They have released two records; “Lana trio” (2013) and “Live in Japan” (2014), and the upcoming album features Sofia Jernberg on vocals.
